I love having bliss balls on hand in the fridge at home. They always come in handy for a quick snack, breakfast on the run or an evening treat!
These balls are really simple and delicious with the flavours of chocolate and cinnamon. You’ll find Rawsome Foods Baobab powder in the January Vegan Box, a great addition to bliss balls and also smoothies! Its made from the natural fruit powder from the Baobab tree in Africa. It is great for immunity, digestion, hydration and energy and is high in fibre, antioxidants, vitamin c and electrolytes. It has a sweet flavour yet is low in fructose and a great prebiotic! Give these a go at home, the are perfect for the holidays and great for kids too! Because cacao can be stimulating, keep them for a day time treat if you are giving them to children.
- 1 cup almonds
- ¼ cup brazil nuts
- ¼ cup tahini
- ¼ cup soft dates
- ¼ cup sultanas
- ½ cup desiccated coconut
- 2 tbs coconut nectar
- 1 tsp maca
- 4 tsp cacao powder
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp baobab powder
- 1 tbs cacao nibs
Process the nuts first until they break down slightly and then add other ingredients and process until mixtures comes together. You may need to stop the food processor and scrape down the sides to make sure everything mixes well.
Form the mixture into balls and roll them in coconut.
These will keep in the fridge for up to two weeks.
